Part of the Extreme Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS – colloquially referred to as “ekwicks” by the smartest of infanteers), the Level III jacket forms a great mid-layer in cold temperatures, or a solid outer layer in spring and fall temperatures.
The cut is made to be loose, so you can rely on the sizing as your normal size – it leaves some room for base layers beneath. This is a versatile, quintessential piece of gear for hunting, camping, bushcraft, and preparedness. Easy to don and doff, takes very little room in your pack and keeps you snug as a bug in a rug!
The fleece/jacket liner features a 100% polar fleece body that keeps you extra warm with a full front zipper that zips all the way up through the collar. The neck, shoulder & elbow patches are 100% nylon. The jacket/liner also features gridded side/armpit panels for breathability, hook & loop for rank and name or morale badges, 2 outer side pockets, 2 inside mesh pockets (no zippers on any of the pockets). The ECWCS fleece jacket is manufactured in sizes S to 3XL.

Mission Fit Kit uses a simple grading system for its inventory:
New Items– These are, as you might have guessed, new! They are manufactured by our trusted network of suppliers and are straight from the factory to our warehouse.
NOS – New Old Stock- These items were purchased by a military but never issued to troops and subsequently sold off to the public, due to the item being replaced or overstock. These may or may not have their original packaging, but are essentially brand new, with no signs of wear.
Grade 1– Items were issued, but it must have been to a POG (Person Other than Grunt), or a recruit who didn’t make it past the barracks before quitting. They show very little signs of wear, though they may have some imperfections. The items are serviceable as sold, with no need for repairs.
Grade 2– Items were issued, maybe to a grunt, or someone who has noticeably used them. They may need some slight but quick and inexpensive repairs, such as seam-sealing, using a patch kit for a pinhole leak in an air mattress, or sewing a few stitches on a garment. There are no significant repairs that someone with a bit of skill cannot perform. The cost of the items is adjusted in consequence, and doing these repairs yourself can help you adapt your kit list to incorporate some items you could use for field repairs. Mission Fit Kit will not sell items below a Grade 2 condition. We just won’t.
