Former sergeant in the Canadian military.

Retired Sergeant Pierre Luc Vigneault, CD, (aka “Sarge”) served in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve from 1997 to 2010. He served three years in the infantry, and 10 years in the intelligence branch. In his civilian role, he works in procurement, negotiating contracts for Fortune 1000 companies.

Mission Fit Kit was born out of a passion for military gear, coupled with a talent for acquisition. In his early years in the Forces, infantry soldiers did not have access to the best equipment. The issued rucksack at the time was a backbreaker – literally. The boots were cheap leather and Sarge (then a young Private) experienced his left heel as a blister for almost 3 months after his infantry course was completed. His issued winter-white camo trousers had a tag from 1954, and most likely served in the Korean War. Soldiers everywhere have constantly experienced the pain, frustration and occasional mission compromises from kit made by the lowest bidder, and often paid (and in many cases, continue to pay) out of their own pocket for something that actually works. Danner boots were often purchased to replace the issued boots made out of beef jerky and melted tires. Synthetic mid-layers would be seen in the field, replacing the issued cotton ones. And most noticeably, entire businesses have been made out of manufacturing a rucksack that actually balances weight distribution properly, instead of causing back injuries.

Former Military, Forever Dependable.

MFK is proud to offer only the best of the best. The pain of any less is scarred into our DNA, constantly motivating us to balance durability, functionality, price and weight.

Our Values and How They Shape Our Business

Mission Fit Kit provides curated supplies, gear and clothing globally to people who need products worthy of their pursuits – be it mission training, preparedness, bushcraft, or the next wild adventure.

Proven Products

We only offer what we have tested, and what time has confirmed. We understand that “military-grade” isn’t a universal guarantee of quality. It’s an often-over-used industry buzzword, and even when correctly applied, it can be the result of unrealistic, out-of-touch or plainly incorrect specifications established by a standards officer. Soldiers know that some of what they’re issued is good, some is bad, and some is just plain ugly. At MFK, we ensure that our carefully selected products are durable, functional, and fit-for-purpose. You only get the Gear that’s Good to Go!

Integrity

To us, this means transparency on the quality of our products. Our grading system is clearly indicated where applicable. Some surplus products may have been to hell and back – but if they’re on our shelves, they are useable, and you’ll know exactly what you’re getting, including any repairs that have been made. It also means authenticity – you can always trust that you’re getting the genuine article.

Loyalty

We know this is a two-way street. As a small, veteran-owned business, our best marketing is your client experience. We aim for perfection here, so that you see us as a reliable partner for your gear needs in the future.

Reliability and dependability

Your gear needs to be reliable when it counts. But you also want a partner that provides it to you with the same trust you put in the kit. If our website shows “In Stock”, it’s in our warehouse. We don’t take orders we can’t fulfill. We do take requests though! But we’re transparent about that process.
